The town of Cumberland is Rhode Island’s most Northeastern town bordering Massachusetts on two sides. Also located along the national historic Blackstone Valley Corridor, it offers some of the best opportunities for hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking and walking along the Blackstone River. Enjoy dining and entertainment at many of its family oriented restaurants and bars. The Cumberland Farms convenience store chain took its name from the original dairy farm business in Cumberland. The town also has an array of educational opportunities for children ranging from public, charter and private schools.
