Woonsocket

City of Woonsocket is a historic mill town, where the Woonsocket Historical Society keeps many records and artifacts from Woonsocket’s early days. Nestled in the heart of the Blackstone Valley and nearby to numerous attractions for shopping, dining and family-fun alike. Its compact parent-friendly neighborhoods offer beautiful architecture, easy access to public transportation, walks along the river and bike paths, along with the convenience of many stores such as CVS drug store. Many of the beautiful buildings in Woonsocket reflect the architecture of the early nineteenth century. Through education outreach programs, the City promotes the value of its rich history, culminating in an annual Heritage Festival held each year on President’s Day weekend.
